Why not ‘EFT tap’ it away?

If you’re one of the millions of people who feel anxious all the time (a stunning 40 million in the U.S. alone), you’re setting yourself up for an overall  health crash.

Does this have to be inevitable?

No it doesn’t, according to U.S. physician  Dr. Joseph Mercola, who conducts the world’s  No.#1 natural health website.  You do have choices, he claims.

FIRST CHOICE.  You could take drugs.  However, drugs commonly used for chronic anxiety tend to promote a range of developments from addiction to dementia to premature death, says Dr. Mercola.

ALTERNATIVE.  Or you could explore another remedy he advocates – the self-help stress relief practice called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT tapping for short.

Acupressure healing aid

This is an acupressure-and-mindfulness healing aid.   You can easily learn enough basics of the technique to tap anxieties down for yourself whenever you wish.  But if you have a serious anxiety disorder,  Dr. Mercola highly recommends that you  consult a qualified EFT practitioner.

The U.S. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention claims that 85% of all disease has an emotional component (and this is probably a conservative estimate), and that stress and anxiety may top the list.

 ‘It’s  my nerves’

In days gone by, people suffered from ‘nerves’.   Today those with chronic anxiety might say, ‘I’m a born worrier,’ or they may keep stoically silent about suffering  the  agonies of their constant fears.

But here is the new reality — we ourselves can help ourselves move out of chronic anxiety, if we’re willing to put in a little effort.

Because this idea is new,  it’s natural to be sceptical that tapping on your face and upper body while you say a few words could make the slightest difference to how you feel, let alone to your physical and mental health….or to your golf score… or to how your beloved pet feels…

But when an internationally respected physician joins the ranks of millions of enthusiastic  EFT tappers  around the world – both health professionals and lay people —  we can see that something new and radical is actually happening.

Like acupuncture without needles

Dr. Mercola and the staff at his Chicago clinic often use EFT tapping with medical patients.

He explains,  ‘EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture for more than 5,000 years to treat physical and emotional ailments, but without the use of needles.

‘(EFT ) can be very effective for reducing anxiety, by correcting the bioelectrical short circuiting that causes your body’s reactions – without adverse effects. You can think of EFT as a tool for “reprogramming” your circuitry, and it works on both real and imagined stressors.

‘EFT is a great tool to teach your children, to help them diffuse their everyday stresses, thus preventing these from festering or evolving into chronic anxiety.
Psychology  approval

The prestigious American Psychological Association acknowledges EFT as an ‘evidence-based’ practice, and it is taught to APA members who are doctors, psychologists, nurses and social workers as Continuing Professional Development.

For yourself, you have options :

This remarkable new drug-free technique can make feeling better a choice for you, even with a condition you may have suffered for years. How good is that?
